Instructor of Economics

Welcome to my homepage of  I'm Jesse Jacobs, an economics professor, author, consultant, and industry professional. It is my goal to give the best insight into any interaction based on empirical, professional, and personal experiences.

I started teaching as an adjunct Instructor of Economics for Fort Hays State University in 2012. Eager to pull my career higher, I am grateful that I was offered a full-time position during the Fall of 2013. Since then, I've taught principles of economics, intermediate microeconomics, current economic issues, and graduate-level market research.

My career spans 20+ years with industry experience in business aviation, utility distribution, and agriculture. Historically, my focus has been on market research, pricing, forecasting, process improvement, and more recently finance.  I am active in the National Association of Business Economists and the past Chair of the Business Aviation Committee for The Transportation Research Board.  I am a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Certified Business Economist (CBE). I hold an MBA and BBA in Economics from Fort Hays State University and working towards my doctoral degree from Creighton University.
